Ben Shafer

Ben Shafer is a freelance horn player in the northern Colorado area. Since graduating with his Master’s degree from CU Boulder, his career has taken off by winning principal positions with the Cheyenne Symphony and Fort Collins Symphony and being the first call sub in many of the region’s top orchestras.

In addition to playing, Mr. Shafer is an active private lesson teacher, as well as the Brass Coach for the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestra. Through music, Mr. Shafer has found immense personal and professional growth, and has a huge passion for helping others develop in their own journey.
