Hannah and Jaime to join Blue Stars’ Color Guard Unit
Two members of the Loveland High School Color Guard, Hannah Walls and Jaime Pallansch, have accepted contracts to become members of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps’ color guard unit for this summer’s competition season.
Wells and Pallansch, along with Carly VanLaningham, traveled to Blue Stars’ Indianapolis, Indiana Audition Camp – one of eight audition camps held around the country – to audition for a spot on the 35 member color guard unit. All three girls were offered contracts with Hannah and Jaime accepting. The girls are also members of the LHS Winter Guard team – coached by Greg Humphrey – that recently won the 2013 NSA Winter Guard State Championship and placed 9th in the Scholastic A’s Skylark division and are ranked 33rd in the nation at WGI’s 2013 World Championships
Hannah and Jaime will travel to Spring Training at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa on May 31 and train till June 20. The Blue Stars’ 2013 show is entitled: Voodoo, I Put a Spell on You and will be premiered on June 21 in Rockford, Illinois.
The Blue Stars 2013 Tour will see the corps competing across the USA from June 21 – Aug 5, ending back at Indianapolis where they will compete at the DCI World Championships, Aug. 8-10.
The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, founded in 1964, is a 150 member, World Class competitive drum and bugle corps. Based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the Blue Stars was one of the thirteen founding member corps of Drum Corps International.
